Looks like Google and BlackBerry are teaming up to develop a secure enterprise mobile security Android OS. BlackBerry has launched a dedicated page for this partnership here. We can see BlackBerry’s BES12 integrated into Android Lollipop 5.0 OS and Google Play for work making Android Lollipop devices more secure for enterprises.
BlackBerry have also registered a new domain Androidsecured.com which is redirecting to Google and BlackBerry partnership page which hints of a new device launch. BlackBerry’s upcoming device with Android is rumored to be BlackBerry Venice Android phone, that is expected to launch in November.
It is expected that BlackBerry is going to use the BES12 integrated Android 5.0 lollipop in this new device. BES12 helps manage enterprise apps on Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices securely by providing your employees the device choice they need while keeping your organization’s confidential data secure.
BlackBerry Venice is rumored to use 1.8GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset hexa-core CPU with 3GB of RAM and will have a 5.4 inch QHD display. The rumors also suggest that there will be a 16MP rear camera available with a 5MP front camera.
