HTC Hima Aero got lots of rumors in past and was said to be the upcoming flagship device by HTC. Evan Blass, owner of @evleaks, also confirmed that AT&T, in the US, may launch it. But, looks like HTC is going to launch it in India first as HTC Hima Aero is found listed on Zauba, Indian export/import information site.
Zauba listing of HTC Hima Aero suggests that it will have 5 inch display which was rumored to be QHD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and Dual SIM support is also confirmed. Looks like the device imported for R&D testing purposes as it shows fake/all zeroes IMEI numbers.
The rumored specs of HTC Hima Aero are Quad HD (1440 X 2560) pixel display, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, advanced rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, Helio X20 deca-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 3500mAh battery etc.
The Zauba listing price for HTC Hima Aero shows as Rs. 22,822 which is around $344.
HTC has already announced their event on 29th September in Japan with Double flagship title. By Double flagship, its expected that HTC will launch two new flagship devices in this event. It may be HTC One A9, new Butterfly 3 or HTC Hima Aero.
HTC is already struggling with its poor sales of smartphones especially HTC One M9, due to which they sold out HTC Shanghai factory and cut down jobs in various areas. HTC also launched HTC Desire 728 in China which costs 1,699 Yuan ($267).
HTC may be thinking of increasing the sales of its smartphones by launching new high end devices but still the buyers are neglecting the HTC flagships and buying other company smartphones. It will be interesting to see what devices HTC will launch in the September 29 event because that will decide the future sales and profits of the company.
