HTC has launched the successor of the last year’s HTC Butterfly 2 called the new HTC Butterfly 3 which is listed on Official HTC website. This phone is similar as the Japan only J Butterfly phone that was launched in May. It will be available in Taiwan on October 20 for TWD 19,900 ($600). HTC haven’t shared any details about its global availability and pricing.
It measures 150.99 x 72.99 x 9.99mm and weighs 161g. HTC Butterfly 3 features a 5.2-inch WQHD IPS LCD3 display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It is is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Sense 7 on top. There is 32GB inbuilt storage with expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD available. It features a Duo setup 20.2MP primary camera and a secondary sensor to capture distance information and the camera is capable of 4K video recording. It also has a dual-tone dual-LED flash.
There is a 13MP selfie shooter at front with a BSI sensor. It has a 2,700mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 feature and comes with IP57 rating for dust and water protection. Connectivity features it has are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G/2.5G, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, micro-USB 2.0 etc and also comes with dual front speakers with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio.
