New Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A5100) And Galaxy A3 (SM-A310F) Variants Got FCC Approval, Some Specs Confirmed

Samsung has a number of devices in the “Galaxy A series” lineup and there were reports in the past that Samsung is working on the sequels to the three Galaxy A series smartphones including the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7. Now, Samsung has got FCC approval for the new variants of Samsung Galaxy A5  and Galaxy A3 that comes with model number SM-A5100 and SM-A310F respectively.

The FCC documents for both the device confirms some the key specs of both the smartphones that includes upgraded battery size. The Samsung Galaxy A5 battery is upgraded to 2900 mAh from 2300 mAh as per Galaxy A5 FCC documents. However, there is no information available about the Galaxy A3 battery in the Galaxy A3 FCC Documents.

The Galaxy A3 models that got FCC approval includes the Dual SIM model number SM-A310F/DS as well that hints that a Dual Sim variant will also be launched. There will be no Dual Sim variant of the Galaxy A5 as per the FCC documents that may proves to be wrong when Samsung launches it. Both the phone supports connectivity features like GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 850/1900 WCDMA/HSPA, Single-band LTE, 8 02.11b/g/n WLAN, 802.11a/n UNII, Bluetooth (1x, EDR, LE), NFC, ANT+ etc. There is no other information available about other specifications of the both new devices but its confirmed that both the phones will have other upgraded features as well that includes better camera size, upgraded RAM and others.

Samsung has recently launched two new smartphones called the Galaxy J3 and the Samsung W2016 flip phones that were recently approved by Chinese TENAA certification authority. The Galaxy J3 comes with 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display with 720×1280 pixels resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 8GB of inbuilt storage, an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2600mAh battery.

The Samsung W2016 comes with two 3.9-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of inbuilt storage, a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 2000 mAh battery, 4G+ connectivity and dual-SIM support.
