After the certification of the Samsung Galaxy A7 on TENAA, another device, now from Gionee, has got the TENAA approval. This device is called as Gionee GN5002 and comes with the mid-range specifications. Gionee GN5002 was certified by the 3C certification agency few weeks back along with couple of other smartphones and there were no details available via the 3C certification leak of the phone. But the TENAA certification of the phone has leaked the images and the specifications of the phone.
The TENAA listing of the Gionee GN5002 comes with a 5.5-inches display with 1280 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and has 16 GB of inbuilt storage with 128GB expandable storage slot. It supports the 4G LTE bands like TD-LTE, WCDMA, CDMA 2000, GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA and LTE FDD.
Gionee GN5002 features an 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It measures 155 × 76 × 9 (mm) and weights 200g and is listed in the black blue color variant on the TENAA website. The phone comes with an unknown size built-in polymer lithium ion battery as well. It supports 4G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, USB etc connectivity features also.
Nearly a week ago, Gionee’s another top-end specs phone called the Gionee GN8001 phablet got the TENAA certification authority approval, revealing its specifications and images. It comes with a large 6.0-inches AMOLED display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution, a 1.3 GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage capacity, up to 128GB expandable storage slot, a fingerprint sensor on home button, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front facing camera and 206g weight.
We can expect an announcement from the Gionee in the upcoming days where they are expected to announce a number of new smartphones including the Gionee GN5002. So stay tuned for the related updates.
