Acer Liquid Jade Primo unveiled with 5.5-inch Display, 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 808

Not only the Iconia One 8 (B1-850) tablet, Acer also launched the flagship Windows 10 smartphone called the Acer Liquid Jade Primo that was announced at IFA 2015 event in Berlin. This smartphone runs on the Windows 10 Mobile OS out of the box and company has also provided the pricing and availability details of the smartphone. It will be available in EMEA in February priced at €569 and will be available globally as well. The specifications of the smartphone may vary according to the region.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D corning gorilla glass protection. Other display features includes 100% NTSC color gamut, 10000:1 contrast and 176-degree wide-viewing angles. It is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage and runs on the Windows 10 Mobile OS.

It features a 21-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash and 4K video recording. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens and 1080p video recording. It has a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE Cat. 6, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio etc.

This smartphone can be used for PC-like experience on an external display with Windows 10 universal apps. It can be used as a touchpad and virtual keyboard or a keyboard with mouse for multitasking and provides following uses:

• Connecting the smartphone to a TV or monitor at hotels or anywhere on the go for productivity-intensive applications, so that the heavier laptop can be left at home.
• Projecting presentation decks to a projector or large screen, while displaying the “Presenter View” on the smartphone.
• Playing videos on the TV while using other apps on the smartphone simultaneously.
