Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) with S bike mode, launched in India

Samsung has launched the new variant of the Galaxy J3 called the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) in India in an event yesterday. Samsung already announced a contest a few days back with title #TapKickVroom and was teasing a new device launch on 31st March with biking related features. Finally, they launched the 2016 variant of the Galaxy J3 that comes with the new S bike mode for bike lovers which helps the riders activate pre-recorded message for all callers, motion lock feature to ensure rider comes to a halt before answering, urgent calls filter and more just by activate the mode by tapping on the NFC tag. the device comes with the Ultra data saving (UDS) mode powered by Opera Max that helps compress the cellular data. The Galaxy J3 2016 will be available exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 8,990 around ($136).

“With S Bike Mode, riders can concentrate on their riding without worrying about checking notifications on their phones or answering phone calls. It is a kind of “Do Not Disturb feature” that prevents unwanted distractions while you ride bike. The feature is enabled by using the NFC tag. It helps the bike riders to facilitate calls while riding.  It can even play messages informing that the owner is riding a bike and can’t answer at the moment. The motion lock feature ensures that you are completely stationery while you halt to take an important call listed in the urgent call filter.”

The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) comes with features like a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830 64-bit processor with Mali-400 GPU. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

Galaxy J3 (2016) features a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well. It is backed up by a 2600mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and USB OTG. It measures 142.3 x 71x 7.9mm and weights 138 grams. The device also comes with 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio support as well. It is available in Black, White and Gold color option.
