Huawei Y6 launched in Japan with Snapdragon 210 and 1GB RAM

Huawei launched the flagship devices Huawei P9 and P9 Plus along with P9 lite in an event yesterday with premium looks and new features. The P9 and P9 Plus comes with Dual camera setup at the rear side with a fingerprint scanner placed below the dual camera setup. Huawei has now officially launched the budgeted Huawei Y6 smartphone that comes with comparatively low features from the Huawei Y6 Pro that was launched in February this year. This low-end device is priced at 15980 Japanese Yen (around $148) in Japan and will be available for sale starting April 15, 2016 in the Japanese market.

Huawei Y6 comes with features like a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by the 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage capacity. It also comes with expandable storage up to 32GB via Micro-SD card. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop based Emotion UI 3.1.

It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, F2.0 aperture and AF with a 2-megapixel front facing FF camera with F2.8 aperture. It is backed up by a 2200mAh battery with standby time of about 300hrs on 4G network and about 11.7hrs of talk time of 3G network. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass, single SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n (2.4GHz), 4G LTE, 3G, USB etc. It will be available in White and Black color options. It measures 143.5 mm x 72.1 mm x 8.5 mm and weights 155 grams.

To recall, the Huawei Y6 Pro was launched with a 5-inch HD liquid crystal display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64bit quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity and there is no details if there will be any expandable storage slot or not. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 Lite on top.
