HTC has launched a new smartphone today in the “HTC Desire series” called the HTC Desire 830 that also features a ultra-pixel front facing camera. The smartphone is launched in Taiwan for TWD 9,990 (around $310) and will be available starting May 6 in the home country. The company hasn’t revealed its global roll out plans yet. Along with the Desire 830 the company also announced the price for the Desire 825 smartphone that was announced back in MWC 2016 event. Desire 825 is priced at TWD 7,990 (around $248) in Taiwan.
The Desire 830 features the dual front BoomSound and Dolby audio speakers. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 MT6753T processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI on top.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and 1080p video recording and it also comes with a 4-UltraPixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 26.8mm wide-angle lens. It is backed up by a 2800mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS / GLONASS.
To recall, the Desire 825 was launched with a 5.5-inch HD Super LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a 1.6GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable storage up to 128GB, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 7 UI, Single/Dual nano SIM variants, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2700mAh battery, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS connectivity options, Dual front-facing stereo speakers, Boomsound Dolby audio, 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.4mm measures and weight 155g.
