ASUS has launched a new tablet in the Asus Zenpad series called the Asus ZenPad Z8. It is priced at $249.99 and will be available via US carrier Verizon starting June 23rd and will be available on contract also priced at $10.41 per month for 24 months. This tablet comes with the model number Asus ZT581KL and it runs on the latest Android OS and comes with a Hexa-core processor inder the hood.
The Asus ZenPad Z8 comes with a 7.9-inch IPS QXGA display with 178-degree viewing angle and 2048×1536 pixels resolution and is powered by a hexa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 650 (4x 1.4GHz ARM A53 + 2 x 1.8 GHz ARM A72) processor with Adreno 510 GPU and has 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS with ZenUI on top.
It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed up by a 4680 mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. Other features it comes with includes dual-front facing stereo speakers and DTS-HD audio.
