With the launch of Samsung note series in the year 2011, Samsung has got a huge success with its Galaxy Note lineup. The Korean giant launched the Galaxy Note 5 last year with impressive and upgraded features as compared to its predecessor Note 4. The company was expected to launch the next Galaxy Note series flagship device with the name, quite obviously, Galaxy Note 6, but then the rumors confirmed that the company will launch the next Galaxy Note with the name Galaxy Note 7 and not Galaxy Note 6.

A famous leakster @evleaks has now confirmed that the next Galaxy Note will skip the name Note 6 and it will be launched with the name Galaxy Note 7 instead. This must be the marketing strategy for the company to launch the next Note with the name in line with the current popular flagships like the iPhone 7 and the company’s own Galaxy S7 series flagships. The leakster has posted an image with the “Samsung Galaxy Note 7” name of the device.
The leakster has also confirmed the rumored iris scanner feature for the Note 7 in a reply to the tweet as well. The rumors also confirms that the next Galaxy Note flagship will be launched in the official Samsung event on August 2. As far as the other leaks are concerned, a leak in April confirmed the different model numbers of the Galaxy Note 7 for different markets.
The rumored specifications for the Galaxy Note 7 includes a large 5.8-inch display and will feature a 25-megapixel rear camera with a 16-megapixel front facing camera. A 64-bit Kryo 2.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 823 processor (also known as Snapdragon 821) under the hood along with the Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It will support Dual SIM and will feature an iris scanner. It will also have an upgraded battery of 3500 mAh and fast charging feature. Let’s wait for the rumored August 2 event of the company for more details.
Stay tuned.
